real soul food, real and lovely people. so much food we had a second meal of our catfish and fried chicken. Greens were tender and full of flavor and so were the black-eyed peas. Also tried the gumbo, which was amazing - we were told everyone in the kitchen had a had in making it and that it really IS "Tori's Place" - she was inside on the grill and her husband was working too. Woulda given that lady a hug if I'd had the chance. Felt like mama made my food. We'll be back next time we're in Sac.
